Palworld saves
Palworld save backup location: back up before fixing crashes
Short answer: make a copy of the save or server world before removing mods, repairing files, reinstalling, or changing server settings. Do not delete a save to test a fix.
What FrameReady can verify
- Official: Pocketpair's server guide documents a backup setting that creates a
backupdirectory in the save data directory. - Official: The server guide lists retained backup intervals when that setting is enabled.
- General troubleshooting: For PC clients, use the storefront's manage or browse-local-files flow and back up before repairing.
- Unconfirmed: Exact local save paths can vary by storefront, operating system, and install method. FrameReady is not listing a single universal path here.
Safe backup checklist
- Close the game or stop the server cleanly.
- Copy the current save or world folder to another location.
- Name the backup with the date and the action you are about to test.
- Do the risky action on the live copy only after the backup exists.
- Stop here if the game works after the first change.
