Why is Roblox lagging?

Roblox lag usually comes from one of a few things: graphics quality set too high for your device, a weak or overheating device, high ping on Wi-Fi or mobile data, too many background apps, or an overloaded Roblox experience or server. The Roblox Lag & FPS Checker helps you find which one it is.

Is Roblox lag caused by FPS or ping?

If the game looks choppy, that is usually low FPS (graphics or device). If the game looks smooth but your character reacts late, that is usually ping (your internet). If everyone freezes at once or only one game lags, it may be the Roblox server or that experience.

Does Roblox need a gaming PC?

No. Roblox runs on modest laptops, phones, tablets, and consoles. Heavier experiences ask more of your device, but lowering graphics quality and closing background apps fixes most lag without new hardware.
