The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Launch Time, PC Requirements and Steam Deck Performance
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu was still marked prerelease when checked at 3:42 AM UTC on July 15. SteamDB listed an 08:00 UTC store release, while Steam's official page confirmed the date but did not publish an exact activation time.

For PC, the official floor is a GTX 1660 Super, RX 5600 XT or Arc A770 with 16 GB RAM and 23 GB storage. The recommended tier moves to an RTX 3070 or RX 6750 XT. Steam Deck demo testing reached about 30 FPS or higher on Low with Balanced FSR but dipped below 30 in places, so that is not a retail-build verdict.

Release status and time
The official date is July 15, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. At review time, Steam still returned a prerelease state. SteamDB's live record showed 08:00 UTC, equal to 11:00 AM EAT, 4:00 AM Eastern and 1:00 AM Pacific.
SteamDB is a third-party tracker of Valve data, so treat 08:00 UTC as the best current listing, not a publisher guarantee for every storefront.
A previously circulated 10:00 UTC time is no longer the current SteamDB value.
Steam publishes both tiers and warns that the information may change until launch. Neither tier includes a stated resolution, frame-rate target or quality preset.

The Mound supports single-player and online co-op for up to four explorers. ACE Team said it was actively developing with crossplay in mind, but the checked launch store pages did not publish a final platform-by-platform crossplay matrix.
Four-player online co-op is official.
The developer's March 2025 wording was that crossplay was the plan, not a final launch certification notice.
Crossplay between Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S should therefore remain developer-planned until the retail build or a current official FAQ confirms it.
NACON's Steam community announcement lists the Standard Edition at $29.99 and Deluxe at $39.99. The Deluxe version adds two playable Fortune Hunters, an Abyssal Gear pack and the digital soundtrack.
NACON announced a 20 percent Steam launch discount for both editions starting July 15.
At 3:42 AM UTC, Steam had not activated sales, so the launch discount was announced but not active yet.
The Lost Explorers Swords Pack is an early-adopter bonus for purchases in the first two weeks.
NACON says The Mound passed 800,000 Steam wishlists before release.
Store prices and console discounts vary by region and membership.
SteamDeckHQ tested the demo, not the final retail build. It reported 30 FPS and above on Low with FSR set to Balanced, with some areas falling below 30 FPS.
That result is useful evidence that the demo could run, but it is not proof of launch-build stability.
Steam had no retail compatibility badge to rely on while the app was still prerelease.
FrameReady is not issuing a final Steam Deck playable verdict until the retail build is rated or tested.
