This is not a corrupted-save repair tool

EA says this directly. Memory Boost may make some memory-related save behavior less likely and EA could no longer reproduce one Residential Rental problem in collected saves, but that does not establish a general repair function.

• Back up a valuable save before a major update.
• Do not use Memory Boost as the only copy of a damaged save.
• Missing lots, loading failures and corruption can have different causes, including mods or custom content.
• A save that remains broken after July 21 still needs issue-specific support.

AutoSave and Save Reminders

AutoSave creates background save points at configurable moments. Save Reminders are separate prompts for players who prefer to make a manual save themselves.

Platform rollout

Memory Boost first appeared as an opt-in Windows PC early-access feature in September 2025. EA's July 14 post says the July 21 update rolls it out to Mac and console players and describes Memory Boost as coming across all platforms.

Other July 21 fixes worth knowing

EA listed fewer individual fixes than usual because the update centers on the new systems. Two fixes matter for players with detailed builds and rental-heavy saves.

• Roof pieces should stop disappearing when viewing upper floors in Build Mode.
• EA says it could no longer reproduce a corrupted-lot issue in collected saves with many Residential Rentals after Memory Boost was enabled.
• A new toggle is being added for Nordhaven Hobby Meetup notifications.

What to check after July 21

Use one repeatable save and compare before and after. That produces a useful answer for your machine instead of assuming the feature delivered the same result everywhere.

• Confirm whether Memory Boost is enabled or set to Automatic.
• Time the same loading transition before and after the update.
• Watch RAM behavior across a long session, not just the first five minutes.
• Review AutoSave and Save Reminder settings before relying on them.
• Check mod and custom-content compatibility before opening an irreplaceable save.
