DPI calculator: change DPI, keep your aim
Switching mouse DPI? Get the exact new in-game sensitivity that keeps the same physical feel, so your muscle memory does not reset.

Raising DPI means lowering in-game sensitivity by the same factor, and the reverse. Your eDPI and cm/360 stay the same, so your aim does not change.

DPI calculator FAQ
Should I change DPI or in-game sensitivity?
Either reaches the same feel. Pick a DPI you like (800 and 1600 are common) and set in-game sensitivity to match. If you change DPI, this calculator gives the new sensitivity that keeps your aim identical.
Does higher DPI improve aim?
Not by itself. Very high DPI can add sensor noise on some mice; very low DPI can cause skipping at high speeds. Most players sit between 400 and 1600 DPI and tune in-game sensitivity to their cm/360.
What DPI do pro FPS players use?
Most tactical FPS pros use 400 or 800 DPI with a low in-game sensitivity, landing around 25–50 cm/360. The exact DPI matters less than the resulting cm/360.
