Ping vs FPSTry a different server or game, and check if Roblox itself is down.
Is Roblox down?Start by finding the cause. If it is graphics, set Graphics Mode to Manual and lower the quality, then close background apps. If it is ping, get on a stronger Wi-Fi signal or Ethernet and stop other downloads. If only one experience lags, it may be the Roblox server, so try a different game. This checker points you to the right fix first.
A strong PC that still lags usually points away from your hardware. Common causes are high ping on Wi-Fi, an overloaded Roblox experience or server, background overlays and recorders, or outdated graphics drivers. Lowering graphics rarely helps here — check your connection and whether it happens in only one game.
On an old or office laptop, Manual quality 1 to 3 with full screen and background apps closed is a good starting point. A normal recent laptop is usually fine at 4 to 6. Lower further inside heavy, many-player experiences.
If the game looks choppy, it is usually FPS (graphics or device). If it looks smooth but your character responds late, it is usually ping (internet). The checker asks the right questions to tell them apart.
